Anton Muscatelli lecture – Brexit and the future of the Scottish and UK economy

In a joint event between Policy Scotland and the Stevenson Trust, the Principal of the University of Glasgow Professor Anton Muscatelli will give his view on the consequences of Brexit on the future of the Scottish and UK economy at 6pm on Tuesday 21st March in the Sir Charles Wilson building.

The lecture by Professor Muscatelli – who chairs the First Minister’s Standing Council on Europe in a personal capacity – is the latest in Policy Scotland’s series on Brexit, and with the triggering of Article 50 expected any day around the lecture, could not be more timely.

Professor Muscatelli’s lecture will come just days after Policy Scotland hears from senior German MEP and Chair of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister – providing a welcome insight into how the Brexit process is being viewed in the corridors of power in both Brussels and Berlin, as the University of Glasgow reaffirms its position as the leading venue in Scotland and the UK for leading thinkers to give their view on the defining issue in politics today.
