Glasgow will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) from 31 October – 12 November 2021. The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and aims to bring four main goals to governments across the world:

  • Limit global warming to 1.5°C
  • Enable communities & habitats to adapt to climate change
  • Mobilise climate finance
  • Collaborate to deliver action

During the conference the University of Glasgow will be showcasing its research through the publication of new resources and a suite of events across all our Colleges. Across the two weeks of COP26 there are specific Presidency Themes, each of which have a day of focus in the conference.
