University of Glasgow Professor Fabrice Renaud participated in the roundtable Climate, Adaptation and Resilience: From policy to practical application.
The roundtable brought together academics, policymakers and climate leaders from ASEAN and the UK to discuss the role that universities play in the prevention of climate related disasters.
Professor Renaud was joined by colleagues from:
- The Earth Observatory of Singapore
- Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia)
- National University Malaysia
- WEnergy Power (Philippines)
- Thailand Development Research Institute
The event was organised by the British Council on 11 October 2021. It was the first in a series of five roundtable discussions held as part of the Climate Connection, bringing together key actors from the COP26 priority countries to explore the multiple roles the higher education sector plays in combatting the climate crisis, as well as examining some of the challenges institutions face in their own Race to Zero.
