Laura is an intern with Policy Scotland for spring and summer 2021.
Her areas of work include:
- evaluating the impact of Helpline Scotland
- reporting the effect of COVID-19 on children and young people.
Background
Laura holds two Master degrees in Economics (Maastricht University and University of Glasgow), and is in the final months of her PhD programme. In her PhD research Laura specialised in political economy, but she has also worked on socio-economics, labour economics, and monetary policy. Laura has years of experience in research and consultancy, both in academia and in international projects, and has provided analysis and advice to policy makers on multiple occasions.
Laura’s interests include macroeconomics, political economy, and economic policy; she is also passionate about economic and social sustainability. Her career aspiration is to use her knowledge and skills to contribute to building environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economic growth.
